Can you believe it is August already? We sure can't! August is a very busy month for us. We just sent out the Vendor Applications for our 2009 Gourd Festival. August is also the time when I start lining up teachers to teach at the festival. For all you students mark it on your calendar that classes will be posted October 1st, 2008!!
Aside from all the festival planning, August is exciting because we start seeing all the gourds in the field. And I want to be the first to say that this years crop is FANTASTIC! Thanks to our new seed supplier we are seeing varieties that we have not been able to grow before. There are a lot of bottles and a lot of very large gourds. So start saving your money and make your Christmas list early. We sell gift certificates too.
